A couple of engineers from the Engineering department of Princeton University accomplished something that might result in the disposal of countless batteries. They managed to develop a piezo generator, also known as piezo-chip that can manufacture nano wires out of lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT). Combine this with an elastic mixture that can be easily tolerated and you can use it as a mini generator for a cardiac pacemaker. This will be installed on top of the lungs and due to the consistent movements the generator can charge itself, this process is also known as piezo-effect and thus can also be used for running shoes to produce energy effectively. This new development can not only be useful for medicine, it can turn countless areas upside down.
