Bangkok-based designer Nasha Mekraksavanich impresses with her latest fall/winter collection 2013/14. Her accessories, mainly bags and purses, stand out with her typical style which is inspired by architecture and her journeys around the world. Modernity and classical craftsmanship come together as well as her handmade patchwork techniques combined with materials such as solid brass with different effect, and full grained traditional naturally tanned goat skin.

The architectural style is the main feature you will notice at once. Nasha creates designs with very structured forms and geometrical patterns. My favorite pieces are the “Etienne Classique” clutches that look like big purses. These ones are available in different color combinations with geometrical patchwork details that have an Aztec touch. Others are adorned with rhinestones but all of them, including shoulder bags and purses, have very clean shapes.

The “Etienne Classique” reminds me of the “Etienne Clutch” of the spring/summer collection 2013. However, the designer changed some details and chose a different color palette! Now, we meet warm, darker and more elegant colors whereaas the former collection has offered pastels and popping shades. Nasha Mekraksavanich creates very modern and cool designs. Her accessories are real eye-catchers and still, you can combine them easily.
