Die Geschichte des Labels Genny beginnt in einem ganz kleinen Rahmen. Die Designs des Gründers Arnaldo Girombelli wurden in einem kleinen Laden in einer kleinen, italienischen Stadt verkauft. Seit dem Gründungsjahr 1962 zieht sich der feminine Stil des Labels durch die Kollektionen. Die Nachfrage wuchs stetig und aus dem kleinen Unternehmen wurde ein international renommiertes Modelabel. Das „Made in Italy“ steht für präzise Schneidertechnik und hohe Qualität.
In der Winterkollektion 2013 herrschen dunkle und gedeckte Farben vor. Mit Weiß lassen sich aber auch einige helle Highlights erkennen. Dass „feminin“ nicht immer eng geschnitten und tailliert bedeuten muss, beweist zum Beispiel der burschikos geschnittene Hosenanzug, der trotz seines Schnittes absolut verführerisch wirkt. Die unglaubliche Bandbreite der Kreationen macht in der Tat die Wahl zur Qual. Mir gefallen die Modelle aus transparenten, weichen Stoffen, zum Beispiel eine fast durchsichtige Bluse. Aber auch die aus festem Stoff sind beeindruckend. Immer wieder begegnet uns das angesagte Streifenmuster – bei jedem Modell jedoch auf ganz unterschiedliche Art und Weise. Gerade geschnittene Mäntel stehen im Kontrast zu den häufig durch einen Gürtel taillierten Outfits.
Die Resort-Kollektion 2014 ist um einiges bunter und heller. Hier finden sich neben weißen auch viele farbige Modelle. Auch die Schnitte werden um ein Vielfaches femininer. Die meisten Oberteile sind körperbetont. Der Stil ist von sehr viel Eleganz und Festlichkeit geprägt. Das bedeutet, dass die Kollektion beispielsweise umwerfende Abendkleider beinhaltet.
