Under the label „Chromat“ designer Becca McCharen is experimenting with forms, which complement the human body. She is using various materials and adds those to her collections, which feature artful garments, especially lingerie and swimming fashion. These fine pieces are designed and created in New York by Chromat. Since the dawn of this label, in 2010, the designer received multiple awards for her collections.
The collections are extraordinary and very sensual. Leather and cloths are put together to patterns in many thin stripes, which complement the female body. The thin stripes go all over the body, from the shoulders, over the back and abdomen, down to the thighs. Chromat’s lingerie and beachwear is very sexy. Some pieces can be worn; some would rather belong in an arts museum.
The designer provokes with some of the pieces, for example by not covering the breasts or covering the breasts with very thin see-through cloth. Other pieces even have leather masks as a part of the outfit. Chromat has no boundaries in terms of design. The designer’s creativity is acted out with every single one of her pieces. The label is for daring and confident women, who don’t care about a design’s rules to live up to their own look.
