Zur BBB hatten wir das Vergnügen, in dem Fashion-Aquarium von “A Fish named Fred” abzutauchen. http://www.afishnamedfred.com 2011 gegründet, sind sie noch recht frisch auf dem internationalen Modemarkt aber unserer Meinung nach, ganz vorne mit dabei. Locker, lässig, Casual, trifft auf kompromisslose Jugendlichkeit und die eben angesprochene Frische, die dieses junge Label mitbringt.
A Fish named Fred versorgt im eigenen Online Shop http://www.afishnamedfred.com/shop/index.php besonders die Männer mit, hauptsächlich Oberbekleidung, richtig geilen Hemden, Shirts, Bade-Shorts, Longsleeves, Jacken und Polo-Shirts. Und man kann jetzt schon einen kleinen Blick in die neue SS 2014 Kollektion werfen. Für die Frauen gibt es eine kleinere Auswahl an Shirts. Die neue Kollektion SS 2014: Natürlich finden wir hier alle Farben, die auch der Regenbogen Fisch auf seinen Schuppen trägt 😉 Knalliges Orange, royales Blau, Rosa/Pink, Purpur, Orange und Grün. Verziert sind die Hemden am Kragen und am Umschlag der kurzen Ärmel mit kleinen Ornamenten. Es gibt aber auch Shirts und Schwarz/Weiß karierte und gestreifte Kurzärmelige und welche in Weiß oder Creme, die durch den detailliert gemusterten Kragen hervorstechen. Auf diesen etwas schlichteren Hemden sehen wir dafür oftmals kleine Muster, die halbtransparent, wie ein Wasserzeichen, für das nötige Schmuckwerk sorgen. Ein gutes Beispiel dafür, das rosafarbene, langärmelige Hemd in der Galerie. Die 105 leicht miteinander zu kombinierenden Teile der neuen Kollektion werden in europäischen Ländern produziert.

Rob Schalker ist der Mann, der A Fish named Fred gründete. Anders als man denken mag, heißt er mit zweitem Vornamen nicht Fred. Zu diesem doch eher außergewöhnlichen und neugierig machenden Namen hat ihn seine 10-jährige Tochter Isabel inspiriert.

The new collection SS 2014: Of course, Fred’s color palette is huge to do the colorful rainbow fish justice. Luscious orange, royal blue, rose and pink, purple and green. The shirts are embellished with ornaments at the collar and at the seam of the shirts’ short sleeves. Fred also got T-shirts and black and white – checked and striped shortsleeves. Plain-colored shirts in crème white and white are also available, impressing with patterned and adorned collars.
In general, the plain-colored shirts often carry small patterns almost as transparent as water marks as the necessary decoration to top the shirt designs. A good example: the rose, longsleeved shirt which you can see in the gallery. The 105 easily combinable pieces of the new collection are merely produced in Europe, proving Fred’s social commitment.

Rob Schalker is the man who founded A Fish named Fred. Against everyone’s expectations, his middle name is not Fred. The extraordinary name Fred was inspired by his 10-year-old daughter Isabel.
