Those who were lucky to grow up in the 90s will certainly remember one of the most iconic childhood heroes ever. It is talk of Sailor Moon, one of the most popular and successful anime series ever. Even today, you’ll meet tons of loyal fans that still collect all kinds of stuff related to the Japanese cartoon figure.

Just have a look at some videos on YouTube or photos on Instagram and you’ll find crazy collections of people, including toys, games, accessories and even beauty products. Think that’s insane? Well, there are many people who would even spend a hundred bucks on a little cheesy Sailor Moon transformation wand or a Sailor Moon powder blush looking like the protagonist’s classic transformation brooch.

Although everything might appear pretty cutesy, I honestly found myself clicking through Ebay, Amazon or Sailor Moon Collectibles the whole night. The Japanese know how to do marketing and also pay a lot of attention to packaging and details. Banzai, for example, offers a huge range of dolls, plush toys, stationaries and makeup products as well as décor items, keychains and a whole lot more. For the 20th anniversary of the anime there was even a limited edition of super-cute Sailor Moon leather bags created in collaboration with Samantha Vega.

Even though so many years have passed, Sailor Moon has always remained a great seller!
