When a prom night takes place in Hollywood movies, the protagonist would usually appear in an ostentatious, almost princess-like ball gown. Multi-layered skirts, corsets, embroideries and beaded jewelry make ball gowns look like wedding dresses. Other than that, evening gowns are usually marked by numerous details and an exceptionally elegant look. But does it always have to be this kind of dress? Doesn’t the “little black dress” and its natural elegance already do the job?

In my opinion, there is not just one kind of ball gown. It also doesn’t always have to be one of those bouffant dresses. It should be modern and matches one’s own personality accordingly. That’s why I think it is rather disadvantageous when a sporty-casual type of woman squeezes her body in a floor-length sequined gown, which in no way suits the personal taste.

Even at a ball, it can be a little more relaxed. You can attract attention even without a gala dress. Why not stand out in a subtle dress that suits the individual personality much more. Almost everything is allowed. You won’t go wrong in case you choose the short silk dress. So, no worries!
