Miranda Konstantinidou is definitely not a new name to those in the fashion industry – this German-raised Greek has celebrated great success, both with her fashion and jewellery label, the latter of which she is particularly renown for.
She founded her jewellery label, Konplott, in 1986, and since then it has won international recognition. Even her fashion line has matured since its establishment in the 90s. She produces her designs in her own factory located on the island of Cebu in the Philippines. There is where she works and spends most of her time, and this is evident in her designs.
Her fashion is lush with intensive colours and striking patterns – it seems that she has been largely inspired by nature, as well as ethnic traditions. This is not for the reserved plain Janes, but rather something for the brave ones among us. Konstantinidou’s creations are bursting with the joy of life. When worn dynamically and with self-confidence, Konstantinidou’s designs will draw the eyes of others to the wearer.
