Ah, just like the good old days! With his work for Prada, renowned British photographer Craig McDean draws us into former times. His campaign for the menswear summer collection has a slight retro vibe, as evidenced in his photos and sketches. Actors Ethan Hawke and Jack O’Connell alongside Miles Teller and Ansel Elgort strike their poses in melancholically everyday situations. His pictures highlight the different ways one can observe black-and-white sketches. These colourless creations appear rather muted and formal, as opposed to their coloured cousins.
Clear, classic lines with several highlighted details come together to form an interesting look. The high Kent collars look anything but conservative! Ornamental seams seem to run through the whole collection like a thread of gold – they decorate shoes, shirts and coats, and they instantly strike the eye as outstanding.
All in all, we are offered a unique and effortless collection, which recreates the typical look of the gentleman in an everyday and graceful manner.
