Two times a year, a new collection by Nicola Hinrichsen is launched onto the market, reflecting her love for jewelry. In order to convey this deep emotion, she creates pieces of jewelry which are timeless and can therefore grow dear to the wearer’s heart. The result: pieces made for eternity. Just recently this talented designer presented her creations at a multitude of German and Parisian fashion fairs including the renowned Panorama Berlin where she introduced the collection for the winter 2015/2016 to the fashion world.
However, today everything revolves around her winter collection 2014/2015 called Rocks & Stars. Whether you foster a fable for lavishly designed statement necklaces or timid, nonchalant bracelets, the collections will pay every piece of jewelry its well-deserved amount of attention. Gemstones determine the overall image. Despite the impressive and big sizes, the designs never appear obtrusive or exaggerated. The big gemstones are framed in plain gold rings or attached to delicate Macramé bracelets. Yes, indeed “plain” and “elegant” are written in capital letters here.
But those who fell in love with statement jewelry will definitely stumble across a variety of treasures here just like the necklace “Cirlces”. Just as the name says, this piece consists of circle-shaped golden plates in which different smaller gemstones and Swarovski stones are embedded. The colorful leather and satin bands Magic Silk, Magic rock and Drops which all feature bigger precious stones are characterized by a noble and yet nonchalant character. One necklace in particular caught my attention with the name Dora. The curb chain necklace is embellished with drop-shaped stones which are arranged in a spiky and botanic-looking formation. Just like all the pieces of the collection the single designs are all available in different color versions, which ensures the collection to appeal to different tastes. From my point of view, anyone who loves jewelry will be able to find a new little baby which will fit into her jewelry collection perfectly. Nicola Hinrichen’s creations are incredible, they exude nonchalance and at the same time elegance and are simply breathtaking.
