What you will need:

1x black polish
1x white polish
1x dark brown polish
1x orange polish
1x yellow polish
1x grey polish
1x dotting tool or the end of a brush or a toothpick

Step 1

The basis of today’s Manicure Monday will be a white polish. I used Essie’s “Blanc“.

Step 2

In the second step I focused on the accent nail on which the star of Thanksgiving had his place: The turkey. I used a chocolate brown polish to create his little head and afterwards his body. Then I took an orange, a yellow and a grey to form the beautiful tail of the bird. I simply placed feather after feather next to each other around the actual body of the turkey. The three color alternated until a kind of fan rose up from behind the bird.

Step 3

After finishing up the body I concentrated on the bird’s face to make it appear friendlier. I used the thick end of my dotting tool, dipped it into white polish and placed two white dots in the middle of the face. Then I used a thin end of a dotting tool and put two black dots inside the eyes. Oh, and don’t forget about the orange beak of the turkey.

Step 4

For the final step I cared about the other nails besides my accent nail on which I just placed the bird. I was inspired by the tail feathers I drew on him so I used the exact same colors: orange, grey and yellow to decorate the other nails. I placed three feathers next to each other on each nail to balance out the whole look.

That’s basically it for the festive nails today. In that way you will look extra festive in the case a last-minute invite for thanksgiving arrives at your house, you never know 😉
