Karl Albrecht, one of the two „Aldi-brothers“ died at the age of 94. His estimated assets amount to approximately 25 billion dollar. Not much else is known of the reclusive business man. The son of a merchant managed to climb up the dollar tree being a penny pincher that he was and soon became billionaire. The supermarket giant Aldi still grows by the minute. More than 10.000 branches were opened all over the world and they all generate huge amounts of cash. Karl Albrecht was classified as the richest German citizen.
