They started off as simple colleagues at the Label Viktor & Rolf but their friendship turned into a partnership and Silke Geib and Nadine Möllenkamp decided to found a very own label together. The German designers who started to be interested in beauty and fashion at a young age both received a college degree. Together they have created unique pieces since 2011 under the name Blaenk.
The collections constructed by the dynamic duo inspire, enchant and touch our souls. The precision and love with which both work with transform every single design into something truly amazing are absolutely visible. They often make use of lighter shades, especially a crisp white or a soft cream. They rarely mix those bright colors with dashes of color to brighten thing even more up.
What you see at Blaenk is a true ode to the femininity, which flatters every female creature walking this earth’s surface. With the use of simple fabrics both of them manage to create true artworks, which are characterized by unique patterns and outstanding details. The designs are often decorated with arty flowers, ruffles or fringes. The cuts and lines appear to be both angelic as well as innocent.
The lion part of their collection is made up out of dressed and skirts, which can be matched with lovely soft tops. Those pieces rich in detail take breaths away and encourage you to dream, especially on the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, which sadly just ended.
