In the deep corners of a forest near Bastnäs there is a treasure of immeasurable value hidden. Though there are no hints of gold and silver, the trip there is worth it if you love cars. Thousands of cars from the 40’s and 50’s, which were abandoned by American soldiers, are now in that forest and surrounded by trees.

Fern is growing out of car hoods and little trees are exploring driver’s cabins. It looks scary but at the same time like something out of a painting. The cars are collector’s items of great value by now but the picking up is quite hard because of the forest. So if you think about it, the cars now belong to the forest.

Nevertheless it is worth a visit. If you’re around Sweden, do pay a visit to the little car cemetery of Bastnäs.
