His name may not be familiar in European countries, but it is definitely not an unknown name in the US. Kasem was not only a radio legend, which started his career in 1952 when the Korean War was fought. He was also the narrator of Shaggy from Scooby Doo. Kasem died at the age of 82 due to a severe illness.
