“Always take a towel with you!”

We’ve learned so much from “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”, the fancifully crazy science fiction saga by Douglas Adams, who unfortunately died in 2001. His fan community created the “Towel Day” in order to commemorate his works.

Everyone who read the book (shame one all those who have not) knows a towel is crucial for hitchhiking in the universe. This is why Adams’ fans always take towels with them on May 25. And if they are asked about the reason of why they’re wearing towels, they don’t answer and just recommend reading the book.

The Towel Day Party is an event which is marked by the same humor like Adams’ work.

If you don’t want to waste your time looking for like-minded people, you can go to the Zyankali Bar in Kreuzberg. There will be a party under the motto “Don’t panic – It’s Towel Day” at 4pm.

Dresscode: of course towels and dressing gowns
