You don’t like your names just because you’re called Rüdiger Stockfisch or Chantalle Mayer? Well, others got it even worse than you. George Washington Hitler’s (!) son Dr. Gay Hitler was an Ohio-based dentist, who used to work in Pickaway County from 1922 to 1946.
The Hitler family had a long family tree in Pickaway County. In 1777, his father George Hitler moved to this town with his wife Susannah Gay and founded an iron shop. They were blessed with great success and built up a lot of influence in the town which they used to freshen up the community. Many streets were named after them. That’s why you’ll still find street names like “Hitler Road”, “Hitler-Ludwig Road”, “Hitler Ludwig Cemetery”, “Martha Hitler Park” and many more, there.
