Currently, the Buddhists are celebrating the birth of Buddha with a fantastic tradition: the Lotus Lantern Festival. Hundreds of lanterns are lit and a colorful sea of lights is created. Originally, this is a Korean tradition. The light which is spread by the lanterns stands for the good, or the hope of bringing something good into the dark world.

The Lotus Lantern Festival has also reached Germany. If you’re curious, why not visit the Korean garden of Berlin on Mai 10? Beside the beautiful play of the lanterns, you can also enjoy Asian music and exotic treats.
