Beside the Gallery Weekend Gallery Weekend; this weekend is also awaiting us with another outstanding cultural event in Berlin: the Theatertreffen (Engl: theater meeting). This theater event is marked by a long tradition, because actors, theater professionals, visitors and journalists have come together to this festival for already 51 years, now.
Because of the death of Dimiter Gotscheff, who did an exceptional work as a director, it’s not only the theater which is going to be celebrated, but the festival will be also held in loving memory of Gotscheff. 20 portrait drawings of him are going to be presented at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele. So, they’ll be shown to the public for the first time!
Like each year, visitors can enjoy many shows with ten productions which have been chosen from around 400 productions by a jury. Interesting discussions and discussions with the audience as well as parties for the premieres are also an important part of the event.
