In order to avoid violent escalations, the annual MyFest will take place in Kreuzberg on May 1st. This is a peaceful street festival full of music, different culinary offers and cultural experiences.
Starting at 11:30am, you will roam the hood including Kottbusser Tor, the Heinrichplatz and the Oranienstraße in order to dance on the roads to celebrate the German labor day. Over 20 very different live acts are on the agenda for this day ranging from DJs to diverse bands and comedians.
The MyFest was given birth to in 2003 and has been gaining popularity yearly since then. Thanks to this street festival, the number of violent incidents has been decreasing remarkably. This year, we once again can look forward to a peaceful celebration.
