Alejandro Carlín said that his creativity has always been influenced by Haute Couture. But his creations actually seem like everything else than the usual Haute Couture we are used to. They are so sensual and fascinating – and even wearable.

After he acquired his fashion degree at the renowned Instituto Marangoni in London, he decided to broaden his skills with an additional major for experimental designs at the Central St. Martins College. Equipped with extraordinary talent, he settled down in Monterrey, a city in Mexico, to establish his luxurious fashion empire.

The current Summer Collection 2014 combines the spirit of a diva, of a light-footed goddess with the desire for flowing, delicate fabrics.  The feminine curves shine in a pure white or they are touched up with harmonious nude tones. The ongoing trend of pastel colors works in Alejandro Carlín’s favor; instead of rosé, he uses pink for instance, or rather than pastel blue, he uses turquoise. Moreover, Carlín accentuates these colors by creating color transitions just like the ombré effect.

We can say with pride that Alejandro Carlín will be the one to start off the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week México on April 1st at 5pm. We anticipate his show with great excitement!
