The most innovations of running shoes were already made in the 80s and 90s. The finally reintroduced ASICS Gel-Kayano Trainer celebrated its 20th anniversary not so long ago in Germany and therefore it counts as a 90s shoe. This shoe, designed by Toshikazu Kayano, has already been available for sale in selected stores since March 22nd (in Berlin OVERKILL, SOLEBOX).
You have the chance to choose from two different color designs, “Fiery Red” and “Light Grey/Black”. For this aspect, the Japanese designer Toshikazu Kayano took his inspiration from pure nature. His muse was the beautiful and graceful…stag beetle. Well, props to those who actually recognize the retro pattern on these shoes. For me, they rather look like some cool stripes and some zigzag patterns.
Anyway, if you are interested in a real classic of running shoes history, you should hurry into the next selected store and get a piece of history for your feet.
