The glass armonica was developed by Benjamin Franklin in 1761 and has been almost forgotten by everyone except for Stefan Raab. He brings the Viennese armonica to life again. The glass armonica works exactly like the glasses that have been filled with water. Depending on the water level you can hear different sounds when you stroke the rim with wet fingers.

This instrument, however, is much more expensive (€ 20,000) than Ikea’s wineglasses.

However, there’s a reason. First, there are only a few who create glass armonicas. Secondly, it was an invention of BJ Franklin. If these two reasons aren’t convincing enough, then it has to be the music which is created by this instrument.Beautiful.
