The two young designers Nico and Ferdi are the founders of the Berlin-based label aMano, which they started in spring 2013. The characteristic feature of their bracelets is their knot design. The idea for this special knot came during a summer walk at a Mallorquin harbor where the duo met the monkey’s fist.
They say that even the pirates have already used this monkey’s fist during their conquests on the oceans. It served as a heaving line which should pull up or capture the ships.
Additionally, the pirates were supposed to hide their most precious treasures in them. The designers were so fascinated by the story and the subtlety of the knot so that they decided to use it as a closure technology for their bracelets.
The knotted bracelet with the mat silver charm can be combined with a watch or can be worn individually. A wide color range (e.g. orange-green or yellow-lilac) offers the possibility of finding the right color to highlight your outfit. They are your true companions through all seasons.
Even the names of the colors are very creative. The combination “Spanish Yellow-Scarlet lake” can be for example associated with the vacation time and the sun. It is the perfect accessory for the summer.
