“VOID” is her new collection. It really fits its topic, because in this collection Yvonne Laufer is exploring the borders between to be and not to be. The most important features of this collection are the amazing materials which are geared to the cuts of the creations. Yvonne uses flowing fabrics for her dresses and tops and gives them a structured form with the use of loops. A knitted vest is provided with some fabric elements which go through the two sleeves. One of the dresses has voluminous drapes around them.
The designer is a master in these special cutting techniques, which remind us more of constructing and structuring. The fabric is draped, formed into loops and knotted in every direction. On several other creations Yvonne makes use of perforations in order to create specific, mostly angular patterns. Nothing is left to chance! Every detail is planned squeamishly. Every creation of this young perfectionist becomes a fashion highlight!
