Actually, Tatjana Warnecke didn’t plan to join the fashion business. She also didn’t plan to work in the fetish domain. However, she did and is still doing today. Everything started when she started to design her own garments. The designs became very popular, even more than she had expected; and soon she got her first clients. Mostly fetish boutiques that were located in Berlin became interested in her creations.
If you look at her collections, one might understand the relation to fetish clothing, but one also catches sight of a distinctive, obstinate style, which would look very nice on the streets. Her special strength is the usage of 3D fabrics. They are lacquered and consist of switching high and low stripes – this reminds us of the stitching of a motorbike jacket which are used to pad parts like the shoulders or elbows. So, she adds a strong, sporty and spicy character to her designs.
Tatjana Warnecke’s designs are obviously sexy and seductive, but at the same time unique. One really can’t decide whether these pieces should be worn on the streets, in the bedroom or on stage.
