The Californian label Gregory Parkinson has already been presented on readthetrieb. The post about its fall and winter collection showed that no pants existed in this collection. This changes a little in the spring and summer collection 2014. For Gregory Parkinson spring and summer mean creating something different. You won’t only find pants, also the typical layered look is left out. Instead, wild prints join the selection. They are filigree and consist of geometrical, floral, paisley and batik designs.
Nevertheless, the label stays true to lace which can be seen on the tops and bottom pieces. The combination of lace and printed fabrics which peak through the lace is very special. This way, the prints seem to get a second layer of prints.
Also the skirts have changed a lot. The collection varies between the different lengths of the skirts, which now, also let us see some skin while the former collection covered the whole legs. Parkinson also reduces the volume and transforms the tops into body-shaping pieces. The whole collection focuses on the feminine silhouette. Parkinson shows his dreamy sight of the world. While using lace and prints, he spreads out some romance. But this time, it’s a little different than before. All styles become fresher and younger.
