Christian Wijnants focuses on knitwear in his fall/winter collection 2013/14 . He’s not only integrating new material into his designs, but also experiments with various coloring methods. Hence, colors are representing an essential part of this collection, creating a cheerful atmosphere due to the richness of colors.
The colors are not limited to typical winter colors; sunny yellow, shining white and bright orange tones are going to freshen this somber winter! In a short dress, yellow transitions into a white which again segues into a dark grey blue shade, just as in the coating long jacket. This outfit looks very comfortable.
The oversized knit jacket has very volumious sleeves due to the heavy material, which is integrated in pullovers and dresses, too. Actually most of the dresses look like oversized pullovers. The above-mentioned color gradient is recognizable in one of the designs in a vertical version.
Christian Wijnants enables very comfortable winter months perfect for cuddling, even if it’s just with your own clothes. I hope my impressions, which are shared by my colleague Nina, made you curious, you should check it out!
