German wine gains more format year after year. This constant and sustainable development didn’t receive much recognition, particularly in the capital. It’s very difficult to find a satisfying assortment of German wine which is classified in the Great Growth of vinification. A remarkable exception is the “Gendarmerie” restaurant which is located in one of Berlin’s most beautiful places, the “Gendarmenmarkt”.
As one first enters the place, a bar of 32 foot in length which dominates the food lounge comes to sight. Behind the bar, there’s an enormous, bacchanalian painting hanging on the wall.
