It’s a sunny day in Berlin, it is 30 degrees Celsius and we are out and about at the Kudamm in Berlin. Both my London guests of the fair  are hungry and just want to eat something good and fast to eat, without having to wait for a long while, because we need to get back to the showroom. The famous wurst stall at the Kudamm is no option with its 15-20 minutes long waiting line. So what’s to do? As we look around at the Kudamm, we pass by the Olivaerplatz. They are sweaty and are also seeking the shade now. We discover a small NY Bar and are welcomed very friendly. We are getting the lunch menu handed and decide to have a quick bite here. The lunch costs 9,50€ and promises a lot, according to the menu.

Being pressed for time and being really hungry, we are getting uneasy, time is getting short and we have appointments. After 10 minutes, the soup is brought to our table as a starter, peas with mint. After we took my first spoon-full of soup our mood changes promptly. Out gums are shifting gears to gourmet-food… we are sitting in the shade and enjoy. After the soup we are asked politely, whether the next course should be served, the waitress did not forget that we are in a hurry, very considerate!

The second course holds a cap of rump ready for, with portions that are more than suitable. The taste is even topping the taste of the soup. We are not saying a single word and are focused on our meal.

At the next table, there are two beautiful models from the fair, who enhance or lunch even more. For a whole 30 minutes, all stress was gone, and we are all Berliner by choice now. Out of five Kudamm-stars we give four and a half for taste, ambience and service. It would have been five if there would have been four models at the next table, since we were a group of four too ;).
