It was April 26th, 2014. I was in Wedding, on the Record Release Party by Lari und die Pausenmusik. Their CD is called “Einmischen” which means “to interfere/ intrude” and that is what their album is all about. Lari und die Pausenmusik go strongly against national socialists and they sing about the euro crisis, Facebook, the pressures of a materialistic society and the fate of a musician. The music goes right through your ear and settles into your mind, evoking thoughts which need more contemplation.

Lari und die Pausenmusik are composed of Platze (guitar) and the 23-year old Lari (guitar, vocalist) from Wedding. Their music is cheery yet with political and sarcastic themes. Anyway, these guys sure know how to move and get their audience dancing. Lari’s voice has such a husky sound and he rocks!

I highly recommend the new album “Einmischen” by Lari und die Pausenmusik. Anyone who would like to see Lari live in Berlin, they should save the 24th of April, 2014. Then, you can listen to Lari und die Pausenmusik on the night market in Spandau. More information on their tour are on Lari’s homepage where you can also purchase their record from. An investment that’s worth it.
