Undoubtedly, the majority of cultures that have evolved over the history of mankind agree on one thing when it comes to gender roles and the definition of femininity and masculinity: women are the fairer sex. In fact, the perception of beauty in the animal kingdom is often the other way around. In most cases, male birds, for example, were equipped with the nicer, more elaborate plumage to impress the females with their splendor.
However, people would shake their heads if you say that the male crown of creation has produced no fine specimens. Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig, Will Smith, Ryan Reyold, Channing Tatum and Ashton Kutcher are proof enough that men can be attractive in high levels and are able to basically let other heterosexual men doubt on their sexuality. The so-called man crush is no personal secret of a man nowadays. It is an open and public commitment to the appreciation of general attractiveness and beauty that knows no gender in our society.
That’s why it’s anything but surprising that the accounts of male artists and models on Instagram get almost as much attention as their female counterparts.
