The political drama, House of Cards, which led Oscar winner Kevin Spacey to receive 3 Emmys thanks to his impressive performance, was only the beginning of a series of extraordinary TV series, American video-on-demand website Netflix has launched to make the offer of series more exclusive and interesting.
In June 2015, Netflix released the specially produced series Sense8, which has caused a stir thanks to a fascinating, original concept. The Wachowski siblings, who had celebrated their breakthrough with the script and direction of the trilogy classic and blockbuster Matrix, have outdone themselves by implementing their extraordinary concept for Sense8.
8 people, 8 different locations (including Berlin), 8 countries. Sense8 packs the fate 8 of different people who have never met before into exciting images. One day, after a series of supernatural phenomena, a miraculous mental and emotional connection connects the life of these 8 individuals with fascinating individual fates. They are able to communicate with one another inexplicably, use the languages of the other, making use of their knowledge and ability and feel what the others feel. Even this anomaly is quickly discovered by a mysterious and powerful man named Jonas, who, from there on, starts chasing the 8 protagonists.
Without question, the fascination of Sense8 lives on the outstanding, very likeable characters who have to cope with their personal problems on different continents.
It is the 8-shed balancing act between the 8 protagonists that makes the original and complex concept of Sense8 so interesting. Undoubtedly, it was a challenge like no other, transforming the connection and interaction of the protagonists in an uncomplicated and especially sensual and captivating imagery. However, one can truly say that the makers of the dramatic sci-fi adventure have mastered this Herculean task with flying colors. Besides, controversial issues such as sexuality, religion, poverty and policy on socially critical level are treated and leave audience in amazement.
Without spoilers: One of the highlights of the first season was revealed in an extremely sensual sex scene that involved even more than two participants in those particular circumstances. This is eye candy at its best, which is hopefully repeated in the upcoming second season!
