The 27th of March was proclaimed World Theater Day in 1961 by Austrian International Theater Institute. Following the tradition many different theaters celebrate the day through a open day featuring discussions with the audience and many exhibitions.
A special feature of the day are the many „messages“ by many different people involved in the theater business, which were translated to more than 50 different languages.
