Laws are defined to govern a state or country. Every citizen is bound to abide by the laws of a country. They are supposed to establish order and to prevent chaotic and anarchist structures. Nevertheless, even the most modern countries such as Australia have laws that seem kind of ridiculous and illogic.

Soon, there is a new law that states that you are not allowed to come closer than 100m from a dead whale. Is this law promoting peace in death? Well no, the law is about to be adopted in order to prevent stupid people from doing stupid things like feeding sharks with whale meat.

Let’s take a look at another bizarre appearing law. On the Brighton Beach, sexiness is apparently to be frowned upon. There, you have to wear a bathing suit that goes from neck to knee. However, most people living there probably don’t even know such a law exists. It is in fact a relic from old times that has never been abolished by lawmakers. There are more old laws just like that. Bars and pubs are supposed to provide horses with water. Furthermore, taxi drivers are meant to store a hay bail in the trunk.

And by the way, if you want to change a lightbulb, you have to consult an electrician because only an electrician is allowed to do such a demanding and professional task.
