There is probably barely anything in the world that is more relaxing than a little nap in a hammock. If you have a garden, you can attach a hammock between two trees and enjoy a drink surrounded by nature.

But what to do if you don’t own a garden? How about pimping your four walls with Homer Simpson’s favorite piece of cloth? However, slinging a hammock is not a walk in the park.

If you want such an amazing eye catcher in your room, you have to find the right place first to sling it. Now measure the length, width and height of your spot and go to the DIY market. Buy two long chains that are even longer than your measured length. These chains should be able to carry heavy weights. In addition, get some steel rivets, hooks and dowels.

Now drill holes into your wall at a height of ca. 180cm or 190cm. Push the dowels into the holes and screw the hooks into the dowels. Now sling the hammock into the chains and get ready for a siesta in your hammock in your own house or flat.
