D.Efect is the master of pattern and fabric combinations. The Lithuanian label, helmed by designer Egle Ziemyte, produces womenswear characterized by their style and design workmanship. And Ziemyte certainly knows how to stand out. Ordinary and conventional pieces are hardly ever found within D.Efect – the reality is quite the contrary. This designer intends to bring her fashion pieces to the level of sculptural works. To achieve this, she plays around with colours, forms, controversies and ideals. This way, she accomplishes exciting contrasts between the classical and the new; between wide and narrow forms; between the contours of manly silhouettes and womanly forms.
D.Efect likes to play around with colors, too. The palette is extensive and varied: it bounces happily from pastel beige to flashy magenta. In additional to that, Egle Ziemyte cheerfully employs the optical effects of interesting patterns that combine well with the aforementioned fabric contrasts.
