What can a successful Fashion Week not do without? An award-presentation of course – to honour the efforts of the designers and to create a smooth entry into the hard business for the winners. This is also the goal of Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. Already for the third time, the fashion magazine presents its Asia New Generation Designer Award at the Singapore Fashion Week.

In partnership with the sister magazine from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, a great prize will be awarded once again this year. The ten designers from five participating countries all had the chance to convince with their collections. A grant of nearly 27,000 British pounds for a Masters degree at the the Instituto Marangoni was the main prize.

This internationally recognised fashion school is represented in Milan, Paris and London. Of course, other than the course, the prize would be incomplete without a contract with international sellers. With that, the award is also adapted to the fashion week which has the goal of putting the Asian designers in the international focus.

This opportunity is particularly for the young designers a welcoming springboard into the fast-moving fashion industry. There will even be a feature in each of the participating Harper´s Bazaar magazine to help the designers prevail in the local market. The award is therefore a complete package for a start in the fashion industry.
