London is a city famous for its peculiar looks. Particularly during the London Fashion Week, fashionistas of the city get down to work and present their craziest and wildest yet tasteful outfits. Danish designer Peter Jensen panders to the tastes of Londoners perfectly, with his balanced style that walks the line between between wild and casual. Ever since he graduated from the Central Saint Martins and founded his label thereafter in 1999, his popularity has been constantly growing. His current collections for the A/W 15/16 hold true to his style.

The men’s line, Fred, is presented in a very sporty and quirky style. It consists mainly of college jackets, jogging pants, pullovers and polo-shirts and is partially printed with flashy comic-patterns. Even the label’s very own mascot, the stylistic head of a hare, appears as a motif. The women’s line, Julia, is in contrast less sporty and more casual. It is very feminine and has several sport-inspired pieces such as a bomber jacket made of satin and a skirt with attached decorative sleeves. It is nonetheless quirky and extravagant. This is mainly due to the flashy colours and materials used, as well as the artistic sections of the collection. Flounces and ruffles grace small parts of the collection, another feature being the eye motifs which look as if they were painted by watercolours. Both collections are indeed different, but upon second inspection, they are two sides of the mirror that is Peter Jensen’s style. What do you think of Fred and Julia? It’s best to form your own impressions live at the current Belgrade Fashion Week in April 2015.
