Still life photographer Michael Brunn is another member of the Stillstars agency that is known for managing a great variety of German artists. Michael specializes in beauty, accessories, cosmetics and jewelry. Additionally, he is currently presenting a series of pictures under the topic fluids – the secret supreme discipline of still life.
Michael has two types of beauty photographs to offer. The one being a shot of the product itself including the packaging of the fragrance, lipstick or moisturizer, the other type is more complicated than that. With this type of photographs, he likes to put emphasis on the impact the product has, for instance he concentrates on the color of the lipstick or takes a shot of the cream squirting or captures the foundation running.
The photographs of the jewelry are entirely different. With these he likes to combine jewelry with other objects such as champagne glasses, ice cubes, sand, even clotheslines. He does that to put the color or texture of the jewelry into the limelight and he does that with a great deal of success! In terms of accessories, the photographer likes to use collages and loves to play with lights, shadows and natural materials. Michael Brunn really knows how to breathe a certain sense of life into his objects without having to do too much!
