Hey Beauties!
Welcome back to another week full of beauty here on Readthetrieb. Today’s manicure is called „Blue Lotus Flowers“ and doesn’t exactly leave room for a lot of imagination. If you want to see how this manicure is done, please feel free to read on. Have fun!
You will need:
1x taupe nail polish
1x dark blue polish
1x light blue polish
1x white polish
1x nail brush
Step 1
The base for today’s manicure is white. I used Essie’s „Blanc“. Use it on all of your nails.
Step 2
Now take your dark navy blue and create the first draft of your little lotus flowers. Simply place small petals next to each other without going a full circle because today’s flower design is shown from a lateral perspective which will surely bestow a certain amount of dynamics upon the look.
Step 3
Then take you light blue polish and to add in some diversity. Paint smaller petals into the dark blue ones you just created. In that way the tips are still navy but the body of the petal is light blue.
Step 4
Finally, take the white polish and create highlights. Imagine the sun shining on your nails; from where would it hit your nails? The sun hit mine from the left side so I concentrated on the left side of the petals to place my highlights. Then take your taupe color and place two little leaves under the lotus flower.
