Creativity and talent reflect Ekaterina Kukhareva’s eccentric, lavishly designed creations. The Ukrainian studied Textile at the Central Saint Martins and worked for iconic fashion brands like Temperley London. After having graduated she founded her label Ekaterina Kukhareva in 2009.
She specializes in luxurious knitwear and has extended her line with knitted swimwear. Her creations are kept in colorful patterns that she drafted and machined on her own and. Finest Italian yarns are processed with a professional knitting machine into in detailed fabrics. This is how she’s in control of the entire origination process and strictly transforms her ideas.
Moreover, the pieces are decorated with lavishly hand-made embellishments, such as macramé and crochet work. Her clients are even offered the opportunity to express their opinions and wishes to customize their pieces. Ekaterina’s spring/summer collection mainly consists of elegant dresses and beachwear in the Pin-Up Look. She designs her creations in mostly blue, rose and green shades and adds big patterns, such as flowers or ornamentation. The second one looks very futurist thanks to entwined shapes and a reflection similar to the Rorschach.
A salmon, floor-length one-shoulder dress with a wide valance collar and intricate, royal-blue flower ornament appears very feminine and elegant. On the other hand, there’s the very eccentric knee-length, transparent dress with long sleeves where knitted ornaments cover the intimate zones.
