Even though I’m a big fan of comic literature, I found this shop by chance. And that one appeared to be a gold mine!
Actually, I just wanted to have some coffee in Oranienstraße, but then my eyes found something that should change the coffee day to a comic day.
The comic shop “Modern Graphics” has been standing in Oranienstraße 22 in Berlin-Kreuzberg for already over 20 years! Yet, I’ve found it only a few days ago. Shame on me! I finally entered – and it was amazing!
Comics! Tons of comics by Marvel and DC in the first main room and graphic novels from all over the world in the other one. In the back, they also had volumes of photography, tattoo books and other exotic things that I can’t really name.
Aside from the comics there were also tons of action figures, collection cards and other fan merchandise, whose purposes weren’t really clear to me, but I still wanted to have them all. Modern Graphics – I have the feeling that you are going to be the cemetery of my pocket money. I will bring every single Euro I have so that you can exchange that with wisdom, entertainment and action figures.
