Hey Beauties!
The whole world is head over heels in love with Cinderella. The long awaited Disney production finally airs this Thursday in the theaters and the hype is unbelievable right now. Both Essence as well as MAC already launched their limited collections and the latter was sold out after mere minutes! I also picked up a few bits and bobs and wanted to contribute tot he Cinderella Hype with a matching Cinderella manicure.
What you’ll need:
1x pastel blue polish
1x silver-y polish
Step 1
The base color is key for today’s tutorial. I looked for the shade of the dress Cinderella wore in the animated movie I used to love so much. And in my local drugstore I stumbled upon “Pure Blue” from the Nude Purism Limited Edition by Catrice and I instantly fell in love. It’s the perfect shade for our Cinderella tutorial. The color is still available in your local drugstore, so grab it while it’s still there! Paint all nails with the color and you can also opt for a matte finish by painting on a matte topcoat but that’s entirely up to you!
Step 2
This effect right there I like to call the “Glass Slipper”-effect. Do you recall those beautiful glass slippers Cinderella wore on the Royal Ball? This glitter polish is here to remind us of exactly those. I spread the polish on the tips of my nails and I love this look to bits. I always catch myself glancing at them; even now I can’t get my eyes off them whilst I’m typing in the tutorial. The glitter polish (of course) is from the Cinderella Collection by Essence and is called “The Glass Slipper”.
