Because our lips ofter suffer the most at winter time and make our lives harder by chapping and drying out, they need special attention and treatment at this time of the year. Today I’m going to show you a few tips, which will help you get rid off dead skin and that will make your lips soft and hydrated.

Tipp 1: If you have chapped lips, it is very important to peel your lips once in a while, at least once a week. There are different ways to peel your lips, one of them being to use what hopefully anyone of you has at home: a toothbrush. Your toothbrush is the perfect tool to use, because it removes any dry and dead skin from your lips. Rub it gently along your lips in circular motions to achieve a harmless effect. If you have very sensitive lips, another option would be a peeling that you can for example buy at lush. Lush Cosmetics has a few flavors to chose from, like for example ‘Bubblegum’, which not only makes your lips feel incredibly soft, but also tastes very yummy.

Tipp 2: Because your lips absorb the most moisture at nighttime, it is perfect to treat them with a little bit of honey once in a while. Just apply a thick layer of honey to your lips right before bed, go to sleep and enjoy the result in the morning.

Tipp 3: The most comment trick to moisturize your lips is to use lipbalm, which you should use regularly and especially before applying lipstick. You can find lipbalm almost everywhere, because so many brands produce them, like for example the ‘Baby Lips’ von Maybelline or the good old Carmex lipbalm.
