The designer Lisolore Frowijn who is living in Amsterdam won the Dutch Couture Award by Frans Molenaar with her first collection Afternoon of a Replicant last year. This year, she succeeded in becoming one of the 10 finalists for the “Prix Chloé” at the “Hyères International Festival” for fashion. This sounds awesome, considering the fact that she is a newcomer, right?
The collection impresses with a real explosion of colors. Popping with more colors than an exotic bird, the clothing line kind of reminds me of a lovingly decorated harlequin. Patterns and shapes full of contrasts are placed on delicate fabrics in pastel shades. Huge scarves appear like cloaks and are worn over the shoulders. Therefore, a nice contrast is created to the figure-hugging cut of the rest of the outfit.
Her new collection is a bit more timidly designed although it is dripping with colors and appears wonderfully playful as well. Here, cloaks and light fabric coats give birth to shape contrasts with figure-hugging blouses and cute miniskirts. Oversize collars remind us of the fashion of past eras. Thin fabrics stand in the center and really let me think of little hummingbirds which fly around beautiful flowers. It seems as if all colors we know have been incorporated into the designs to enfold their full beauty.
Here we have a dreamy, enchanting collection for warm days.
