Hello fellow beauty lovers.

When approaching Christmas time, kids often get pen and paper to create their own wish list to send to Santa. At home you give the piece of paper on which you worked so hard on to either your mom or your dad, in school you give it to your teacher in hopes that your letter will be delivered to Santa in one piece. On Christmas Eve you always were incredibly impressed that exactly what you wrote to Santa was under the tree, proving that you have indeed been a good girl or boy. Now that we all grew up and have gotten wiser, we know that those little letters never made it past the doorstep let alone to the North Pole. It was our parents who were in fact playing Santa for years and years. The writing of wish lists however, we have kept around. I did, anyways. It’s not really for someone to read rather than for myself to keep in mind what I want to have in life and what I have to do to achieve that. It’s really a list to motivate me to work to be able to fulfill my own wishes.

In that spirit, after the longest introduction in history, I wanted to show you what exactly from my personal beauty wish list I still have to tick off.

MAC’s “Velvet Teddy” Lipstick

Yes, who didn’t see that coming? I’ve been complaining for absolutely ages that I just can’t get my hands on that shade no matter what I did. In the midst of the Kylie Jenner craze, people have been hunting this shade down like it’s the end of the world and I am still on the waiting list for it. It’s really surreal, standing in queue for literally months for a lipstick but I just have to believe that it’ll be worth it 😉

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Concealer

Well, this has been around for a long time and it’s still the holy grail of a lot of beauty gurus. I’ve been looking for a nice concealer to hide dark circles as well as highlight the undereye area. What can I say? I’m a sucker for the Kim K. look.

Clarisonic “MIA” Facial Brush

Given that I’m really deep into the whole makeup thing it’s quite strange that I haven’t invested in one of these babies yet. It’s really one nice device that shouldn’t be neglected in the skin care regime as it can remove dirt like nothing else. You might think that after scrubbing your face sore with a multitude of face cleansers it would be clean, but this brush is able to reach the deepest corners of your pores that you could never reach on your own. I’ve been hearing only good things about it and the changes it can make on how your skin looks like without makeup.

NARS “Albatross” Highlighter

One of the best highlighters on the market, hands down. I’ve tried this little baby out at Sephora in Paris and I’ve been a convert ever since. However, I did not purchase it that day because I’ve already spent too much on skin care in the French pharmacies and I have longing for it ever since. I guess it is important to have something you still are hunting down and looking forward to.

Yours truly,
Lana Hoang
