The fashion brand Adama Paris is just like fashion should be:: Cosmopolitan, global and absolutely elegant. The one who is responsible for this look is Adama Amanda Ndiaye, a young Senegalese, who travelled the world starting at a very young age as the daughter of a diplomat. Growing up in her country of origin, she however also feels home in metropolises like Paris and New York. Her fashion reflects this cosmopolitan lifestyle. Swinging between the African and western culture, traditional and innovative structures are combined so that both identities won’t get lost but instead are allowed to progress and enfold their expressive power in a new way.

The fans of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin can look forward to a hot show of this designer in Berlin. In January, you will be able to see Adama’s fashion live at first hand. The collection she is going to showcase is devoted to the winter season 2015/2016 following the motto the early bird gets the worm. I’m going to give you a little pre-taste by introducing the fall and winter line 2014 to you.

Cool color nuances reflect the cold season, above all a lighter minty blue paired with brown caught my attention. Everything revolves around the core piece of the feminine wardrobe: the dress. Adama Amanda Ndiaye is concentrating on the silhouette of the female wearer and experiments with its effect on the beholder with the help of different cuts. Most of the time, the dress reaches over the knees, emphasizing the curves of the wearer. Furthermore, the robes feature cutouts on the back or draperies around the waist. In addition, preppy skirts which are well capable of accentuating the femininity as well are worn with graceful body jackets. In general, the pulse of the time is incorporated into the delicate collection which drips with elegance and urbanity. Have I mentioned the beautiful patterns yet which bring a playful character into this chic fashion yet? Go and see for yourself!
