The Fashion of the Designer Saina Koohnavard

Inspired by the women’s wear of the 1870ies and yet marked by the fashion standards today, the collections of the Swedish designer Saina Koohnavardindeed represent a real feast for the eye. She connects shapes and patterns of past days and mixes them with modern stylistic elements.

The textiles and fabrics are processed in special ways and given Victorian cuts. The end result can be considered an eye-catching piece of art, which indeed makes us think of Pop-Art. The collection takes us to a journey through time, back into the Victorian epoch of the Lords and Ladies just to breathe a refreshing new wind into the here and now. Saina’s fashion full of contrasts is indeed a complete piece of art which brings back old stylistic components and incorporates them into modern pieces of clothing.
