Chanel’s creative director, fashion pope Karl Lagerfeld, is presenting the Métiers d’Art Show on December 2nd in Salzburg, Austria. This event is something every fashion victim should mark in their calendar because on the same day, the Victoria’s Secret Show is taking place, not in Salzburg but in London. Above all, the top models have to face a real problem, a true dilemma situation. Victoria’s Secret or Chanel? Well, indeed, some models can’t make the decision on their own because they are chained to a contract. One of these models is the US-American Karlie Kloss.
Other models haven’t decided yet including the face of Chanel’s darling and face of the campaign Cara Delevigne and Malaika Firth, the beauty from Kenya. Wow, indeed, a real dilemma. The Chanel event as well as the Secret Show are on the one hand events crucial to the fashion world and on the other hand seen as the culmination of the year 2014. While some models clearly stated to participate in the lingerie fashion show like Jourdan Dunn and Lily Donaldson, Chanel will surely cause many models to think twice. For the new collection, Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the rococo, an art style in the 18th century. Matching this topic, he chose the impressive and fulminant castle Leopoldskron as the location for this show.
